Detection of the STA1 gene (glucoamylase gene) via PCR. If yeast samples have already been isolated at your brewery, please send an agar plate that is sealed to our lab and circle the isolated colonies you would like tested. Turn around time: 3 business days.

Laboratory services are performed in house at Community Cultures Yeast Lab, using the standards prescribed by the American Society of Brewing Chemists. 

All samples can be shipped to our lab Monday through Friday, or dropped by in person Monday through Thursday, 2:00-5:00 pm.  Please provide 200 mls per sample, per test, in a sanitized leakproof container. Pricing is per test. Please purchase additional tests for additional samples.
